About David Granillo

I served 22 years in the United States Marine Corps, building a foundation of leadership, structure, and accountability. I now support fellow veterans by guiding them through the VA disability claims process as part of my ongoing work helping those transitioning from military life.

Working in partnership with Veteran Services United (VSU), I provide educational support to veterans preparing to file for service-connected disability compensation or seeking to increase an existing rating. My goal is to help each veteran understand VA requirements and enter the process informed and prepared.

After going through the VA disability claims process myself, I recognized where other veterans often struggled. That experience showed me how I could step in to offer practical support and help fellow veterans navigate the system with greater clarity and confidence.

I provide education around documentation standards, condition mapping, and how to prepare a claim that aligns with VA guidelines.

I do not file claims, handle documentation, or offer legal advice. All actions related to the claim remain fully with the veteran.

Veterans who work with me appreciate my direct communication, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right.

I work one-on-one with veterans, but I’m not doing this alone. I’m part of a team at VSU that I’ve known for years. Some are fellow Marines I served with, others I’ve worked with since transitioning out.We take this work seriously. We come prepared and hold the line for the veterans we serve. We share what we know because that’s how you get it done right.
